It was a bittersweet moment when Casey and Corbin Blackburn made the decision to move-on from their first home together but as their family continued to grow, so did their desire to seek out a new home with more space for their daughter and two little boys. Tell us about your family, pets (if applicable) and favorite things to do?
We’re a family of five with two little boys and a daughter. As a family we try to stay active, spending our time at kid’s activities and classes. We love to visit local parks and playgrounds in the area. We try to take advantage of good weather days by visiting local parks and going for walks, where we inevitably end up bringing back flowers, bugs, and whatever else we find in nature. When we’re relaxing at home, you’ll usually find us building a fort, having a movie night, or blasting some music for a dance party.
What prompted you to think about moving?
Our previous house was our first house as a married couple. We love the house and the neighborhood, but with three kids we were quickly running out of space.
Why did you choose Petros Homes and the community you selected?
We’ve always wanted to be in the general area of Mass Estates, as it’s close to family and the school our kids go to. When we saw this community being developed and finally had a chance to view a few example houses, we immediately felt like it was the right fit. The houses we visited were beautiful, and everyone we talked to was incredibly easy and enjoyable to work with.
What are you most excited about with regards to living in your new home?
If you asked every member of our family you’d get a different answer, which is precisely why we’re so excited about this move. Corbin is excited for the two story family room and downstairs weightroom. Casey is excited for the large covered back patio/fireplace and second floor laundry room. The kids are excited to have their own room and a large basement to run around in.
Are there any features that you’ve incorporated that are specific to your family’s wants or needs that you didn’t have previously?
Casey and I have always had a vision of what we wanted the house we raise our family in to look like, and the team at Petros has helped make that vision a reality. From the numerous base floorplans to choose from down to the custom design features we’ve added, we were able to check the boxes we always laid out.
