For the Yancy family, the phrase “When one door closes…another opens” had significant meaning. Having recently relocated from the East Coast, they had been searching for the perfect home and location to put down roots . After months of looking at resale homes and losing out to bidding wars and multiple lost offers, they decided to explore building new. Their disappointment quickly turned to joy when they discovered our newest community, Villas at City Center in Broadview Heights, Ohio.
Not only did they find everything they were looking for, they were delighted to find that they could customize their new home making it a perfect fit for their growing family lifestyle. Also, their new neighborhood is located in one of the top rated school systems in Northeast Ohio. This happy family is looking forward to moving in soon and being within minutes to the beautiful city recreation complex, walking to the corner coffee shop and having family fun times at nearby farms, restaurants and outdoor activities in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
What do you like to do for fun?
We love to stay active. We really enjoy running and sign up for an occasional race or two. It is a good balance for our love of visiting breweries in the surrounding areas! Both are a fun way to explore different areas and meet people. We also spend a lot of time in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It has a lot to offer and it is so awesome that it is essentially right in our back yard!
What prompted you to think about moving?
Our current situation was only meant to be temporary when we relocated to the area from Upstate New York. We bought a small condo to live in while we explored the area and figured out where we wanted to put our roots down.

When we began our home search, we weren’t looking to build. We stumbled upon the Petros Homes Villas at City Center by chance and fell in love. From day one, the customer service has been phenomenal. What do you think will be your favorite feature in your new home/what area of the home are you most excited about?
Wow, this is a tough one. There are so many things that we are excited about! The top thing is definitely being a part of the community and getting to know all of the neighbors. Also, sitting out on our back deck and watching the sunset, enjoying all of the natural light from the huge wall of windows in the family room, using our pot filler over the stove (our children eat a lot of pasta), and our soaking tub in the master bathroom. The list could go on and on.
What are you most looking forward to once your new home is complete?
We are looking forward to meeting the other people in the neighborhood and having people over. We are also looking forward to exploring the area and seeing everything it has to offer. We can’t wait to have some extra space and are so excited to get settled and enjoy time together as a family in our new home.
